I get this question each time I meet our mates.
So and so were great friends, no they were dating (really!), learned they continued seeing each other after FGCO (if I didn't know they were dating how would I possibly know that?), but did they end up together?
So some of us were dumb to all the dating that went on (we may still be dumb!) but you of course know who was seeing who. So, did they end up together? We really don't need the detail of what went wrong or what did not go well, just the info to create some amusement which will help you guide growing children especially when it comes to the right age for dating.
I really need to crack my head or ask around to figure this out; I may have been not only partially blind but half deaf; so much of School Chapel didn't help to make me a pro in T2.

Hmm! This one na another tory O! Obviously, Helen J. and I didn't end up together. LOL! There! Now you know we were more than good friends. The boyz and galz and I still laugh about how innocent (or not) we were back in the day. Dating...is that what we called it? It thought it was "going out with". Jappy was going out with...
Some of us we're oblivious to the whole "dating" thing? Maybe I was too adventurous for my age. Not ending up at the Chapel many a nights for prayer meeting, but attending "boogie" instead, may have contributed to my galivanting...LOL! Eyin boyz, make una back we up on this one O...no be only me O!
Back then, at least for me, it was always almost awkward walking around school with the likes of Maria N. giving you the evil eye, trying to make you feel like you and this one girl "going out" were committing the ultimate sin. Or Helen's brother, Raphael T. and his bobos (Irapada O., Felix O., etc) giving me the cold shoulder for hours or days at a time regarding the whole "going out with" his sister issue. Raphael, my hat off to you for not giving me more of a hard time. I appreciate those of us who were actually accommodating of this whole "going out" businees...wasn't so bad afterall, was it?
I vividly remember one day gbaing T-square with Helen in front of the girl's hostel fence (risking a vicious whipping from Baba Dracula), and some girls (guess who was the ring leader...you guessed right, Maria!) poured some water over the fence on us! KAI! O boy no be small vex I vex O! In hind sight, I miss those days and will always cherish those memories!
Oh my God! I couldn't help laughing my heart out. Was I dumb or something? I had no idea so much dating was going on under my eye glasses. Maybe I could even have been involved without knowing it. I facilitate cultural studies sessions now for children and students here in Ohio and still say things like the idea of dating is foreign to Africans well maybe to our fore fathers.
Where on earth is Maria N. now? She kind of got married almost immediately after school.
So you guys didn't take it beyond FGCO? Well Helen T.J is now settled; I spoke to her sometimes ago. I'm sure your woman is happy she got you.
I can't believe it..Jappy!and you look so innocent when we were in school. Now we know one of the many 'regulars' who were keeping vigil at the gates of the girls' hostel. Let's just thank God Baba Dracular didn't get you...lol Please keep the confessions rolling in. I am loving this!
We need to keep this going. Though some would appear shocking some were just out there like Moppy Sho and Odunayo S., Bussy & Stingo Bee, Walata & Lolita, Tutu O. & Yomi O., Funke A &... I really can't recollect... maybe some of these folks can redefine what they were up to as something other than dating. But what happened to these unions 'blessed' and waxing strong in FGCO?
Dating then and now is definitely different; our set is kind of funny; I doubt that any of those folks ended up together but... feel free to share your FGCO dating experience...
Donald Utoh and Uju Unachukwu did get married. Donald was a set above us. not quite sure about Uju.
They live in Chicago, 2 kids. I was at there wedding in Lagos. That was a mini reunion for that set. A whole bunch of Fego guys showed up. Wole Adubi and I were the only ones from our set. It was a great time.
Uju and Donald were probably in same set which explains why only two members of our set attended the wedding.
From all the sets, I bet there is at least a couple who went down the aisle but not so for 8490.
History is never static; time will tell... at your old age you may just realise you want to rest your head on an old mates' bossom.
In my old age I definetely do not want to lay my head on an old mates bosom. When you say mate what exactly do you mean? To be on the safe side I'll just find a young chic.
I couldn't help but laugh. How come it took forever to pick on that. But some day even the young available chicks will come to say Papa (daddy or uncle wouldn't fit anymore) nooo...
